Snack Mix Recipe

Several of you wanted the recipe for the snack mix that we had on Craft Night, so here it is.

snack mix

2 boxes cheese crackers (Cheez-Its)

1 large bag of Cheetos

2 boxes of Wheat Thins

1 bag pretzels

4 Packages Ranch mix

2 cups vegetable oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon lemon pepper

3 Tablespoons dill weed

Mix the Ranch mix, vegetable oil, garlic powder, lemon pepper, and dill weed in a bowl.  Put all of the other ingredients into a large bowl or kitchen sized trash bag (new of course).  Dump the vegetable oil mixture over the crackers and mix.  Be sure all of the crackers are coated with the oil mixture.  Lay out paper towels on your kitchen counter and dump the crackers on top.  Let them dry for at least an hour.  Done!

You can change this up too.  Try adding a can of nuts.  Or we have substituted Buggles for the Cheetos.  When it’s just for my family we add a box of Wheat Thins and don’t include the pretzels because our family doesn’t really like pretzels.  We have also tried different flavors of Cheez-Its.  On Craft Night I used one box of regular Cheez-Its and one box of white cheddar.
